I'm sitting on the couch in the living room of 'Divine Intervention', Oak Island, NC. The sun it out, the breeze is lovely. Zach and Viv play cards on the floor, the rest of the gang is down at the water, I'm not anxious, I'm relaxing. It's nice.
Weather . com says it's 77. Maybe a chance of showers tomorrow. That's just fine.
We are all very much happy to be at the beach. We've upgraded our experience to 'at the beach - no, really!' from our last fall's visit where we were a good stroll from the beach. Out the living room doors onto the deck, down the stairs and over a short hillock of a dune and - bam! - there's the ocean. Cool!!!!
We failed sadly with pre-trip planning and packing; luckily - we're at the beach. Really every thing's gonna be fine.
