Where I stand...

Current Mood: frustrated Do You Care? Do I Care? "Join thousands in LA on March 18 to protest the war on Iraq on the 3rd Anniversary of the US Invasion" Thousands might be right, but frankly I've seen more people waiting to get into Disneyland. TK I went to the rally. I took photos . I thought the signs had snap and bite - "Lie-ability - Impeach Bush" TK I walked the parade route to see if there were throngs anywhere else, but sadly just tourists outside Graumann's Chinese getting the photos taken with Mr. Incredible, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Supergirl. Then I headed home. I didn't step up to carry a coffin in the parade. I didn't spend any money at the bumper sticker table. I didn't ... engage the activity. I passively observed, wrote down some notes, took some photos... and fled. I don't support our troops when they abuse local people they're supposed to be 'liberating'. I don't support a bunch of white, rich, hypocritical

I looked for a name...

of human endeavors, of looking to the heavens - durhamtown, Oct '18 Pittsburgh. Synagogue. Couldn't recall their level of faith. Google took me to words written, a description of the life after - 'retrofitting a hundred-year-old Victorian house in Pittsburgh's East End' Google ' pittsburgh east end ' - see that it's a few places in town (wonder if the tree-house apartment, from where a short jaunt to a ceremony in New Hampshire started and ended) - damn, close to Squirrel Hill. damn. More googlin' because ... because why? I certainly didn't want to be associated, aquainted with such pain and horror. Others in my life had strange qualities of 'being there' for the worst of our recent-memory atrocities; at the time it was surprising, now I see it as concerning. No. As much as I know more of myself now than I did then my sincere hope has always been to be a good person, and as such I ponder those folk I've known, I ponder their

Boo's on a trip of doom with her pop - something about finding a storage unit Bubby has ... weeeeeeee!!!! it's a 'spring holiday' at UNC, nicely timed to Good Friday. I vaguely recall 'Easter Monday' being a semi-official holiday down here. Blue is way too cute, and as if on cue two squirrels were mixing it up outside and she did a mini-spaz. woot! by the way - America.
